Here to Serve You
Providence Health Centre is a membership based organization. Your first step to joining the Providence family is by signing up as a member. When you sign-up as a member, you are joining a unique and growing network of health professionals that align with the Providence vision and values. We look forward to being partners with you in your health. Please see below to learn about the various services available to you as a member. See our contact section for the best way to get in touch with our clinic.
General Health Consultation
All members are eligible for and encouraged to make use of this personalized service. After becoming a member, you can schedule a consultation with our medical team that consists of a General Practice MD, a physician assistant, and a nurse. Please contact us for more details. We are now able to offer a wider range of medical services, and are able to bill to OHIP.
Allied Health Consultation
Our allied health team is growing and currently includes physiotherapists, occupational therapist, kinesiologist, nutrition/dietician, and psychotherapy. All our specialists have been hand-picked and share the guiding principles of Providence Health Centre.
Consultation with one of our allied health specialists can either be accessed after an initial general consultation, or through specific request after membership registration. For example, if you have already been diagnosed with a rotator cuff tear and need to see a physiotherapist, you can call our clinic and ask to book with a physiotherapist directly.
Home care
Our registered nurses and personal support workers will provide at home care to help you and your loved ones live comfortably and safely in their own home.
The first step in this process is for our home care nurse to perform a needs assessment which will include knowledge of some of your health problems. Our team will then create a "Care Proposal" for you/your family.
Home care fees vary based on geography and type of care that is needed.
Diagnostics
This is a service that is still under development. We are planning to purchase several point of care testing diagnostic machines to assist in screening for chronic diseases such as diabetes, high cholesterol, and anemia. These systems are quite costly. We welcome donations to get this aspect of the Health Centre off the ground.
The ability to do on-site testing will be much more convenient for our members and will save our members from spending the extra time and money (gas, parking) to visit a commercial lab.
We plan to operate this testing on a cost-recovery basis. Fees per test will be $25-$40 (depending on the test).
